HTC T6 leaked as upcoming “phablet”

HTC is reportedly working to produce a large screen phablet device, internally codenamed the HTC T6.

According to notorious smartphone source, EVLeaks, HTC is looking to enter the phablet market with a large screen device known as the HTC T6.

Looking to compete with the phablet market current dominated by Samsung with devices such as the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Mega, Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and Samsung Galaxy Note, HTC could be producing its first device sized between 5- and 6.9-inches.

Unfortunately very little about the device is actually known, including any specs or an actual screen size.

Last week, it was reported that the Taiwanese company was working on a revised, larger version of the HTC One to compete with the successful Samsung Galaxy S4 for size.

Supposedly playing host to the same specs as the current HTC One, the handset could upgrade the 4.7-inch offering to a display “above 5-inches but below 6-inches” in size.

HTC One Features

Closely rivalling the Samsung Galaxy S4 in terms of pure power, the HTC One packs a 1.7Ghz quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM and Android 4.1.2 OS.

Featuring a stunning 4.7-inch 1,920 x 720p HD display, the HTC One offers a 469ppi image density and Corning Gorilla Glass 2.

It has a UltraPixel camera in the rear with f/2.0 that is capable of Full 1080p video recording. Coupled with a 2.1-megapixel camera in the front, the HTC One makes use of the new camera functionality introduced by the latest edition of the HTC Sense 5 UI, HTC Zoe.

Powered by a 2,300mAh Lithium-Ion battery, the HTC One also introduces HTC BlinkFeed, which transforms the home screen into a customisable stream of content from over 1,400 media sources.
