We know the world is going selfie mad at the moment, but this is ridiculous. According to the latest leak, the HTC Desire Eye will have a 13-megapixel front-facing camera for taking selfies. The self-obsessed can rejoice.
This is said to go hand-in-hand with a 13-megapixel rear-facing snapper, making the mobile one of the highest-specced when it comes to imaging.
As well as the ludicrously large sensor, the front-facer is also said to have auto-focus and a dual LED flash. Better look your best, as this selfie camera is going to show you warts and all.
The leak comes courtesy of @upleaks, who also revealed the specs for the device. It's said to have a 2.3GHz processor, 5.2-inch Full HD screen, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The battery is 2,400mAh and removable, while the handset itself has a rating of IPX7, meaning it's waterproof up to 1 metre for up to 30 minutes.
It also runs HTC's Sense 6 UI.
Of course, this is all hearsay at the moment, as nothing is official. So take all this with a pinch of salt.
HTC is holding an event on October 8 (that's Wednesday), when it will also reveal its action camera that's said to rival the GoPro. It's rumoured to be called the ReCamera, which supposedly stands for "remarkable camera".
We'll find out for sure what HTC has cooking in a couple of days.
