Perfect for Uptown Funk

If you want to share your music with friends, you can either play it through your phone or a portable Bluetooth speaker. Neither exactly gets you in the party mood.

Audiocase, however, is your ticket to party harty. Built like the kind of suitcase you'd see shackled to a mobster's wrist, it's a heavy duty sound system that connects to your mobile device over Bluetooth.

It's made to go loud. Thanks to its high-sensitivity drivers and ultra-efficient amplifier, the makers claim it plays louder than any other battery-powered speaker of its size. Obviously we'll have to take their word for it for now.

The case is made from laminated poplar plywood. The makers claim this makes it sturdy while keeping the weight down to a mere 6kg. Aluminium angles and steel corners protect it from any knocks.

The battery lasts a marathon 24 hours before needing recharging, which should be enough for any party. Though that's only on medium volume. Crank it high and you'll get 12 hours out of it before needing to juice it up. That will still last all night.

It comes in five colours: yellow, red, black, blue and white. Or you can opt for the oak veneer finish, or a special art edition that's styled like a boombox.

It's nearing its kr150,000 funding target. If it succeeds, it should ship in June.
