GTA Online Stimulus Package finally rolled out by Rockstar

The wait is finally over and the promise of free GTA 5 cash has come true as publisher Rockstar confirms it has started to rollout the GTA Online Stimulus Package.

With last month’s GTA Online launch having been plagued by issues and bugs, Rockstar previously confirmed that it would provide all affected gamers with $500,000 worth of in-game GTA 5 cash as an apology. Having been hit by a number of delays, this GTA Stimulus Package is now being rolled out to all GTA Online gamers.

Attention all Grand Theft Auto Online players, we have begun the Stimulus Package direct deposit into each of your in-game bank accounts,” an official spokesperson for the company stated. They added: “This GTA$500,000 deposit applies to all GTA Online players in the month of October 2013.”

Given the number of gamers playing GTA Online, Rockstar has warned that this rollout could take a number of days, and as such those waiting for their free GTA cash should not be concerned if it hasn’t already dropped.

“We expect that it will take up to 2 full days for the Stimulus Package to be fully delivered to the entire player base from October 2013, so please be patient if you do not see it appearing in your in-game bank account just yet,” the developer stated. “We will update this post on Friday when we expect all the GTA$ Stimulus Package deposits to have been completed.”

A compensatory measure to make amends for a number of issues with the game, Rockstar is still fixing a range of GTA 5 bugs. Earlier this week GTA Online update 1.05 was introduced to address problems with saving vehicle modifications.

The company stated: “Thanks go out to everyone for their continued patience and understanding while we worked through these issues, and we can’t wait to bring more into the world of GTA Online. On that note, stay tuned for more details on the Beach Bum update soon along with upcoming Social Club event announcements and more here at the Newswire.”
