Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 specs leak, reveal 10- and 8-inch screen sizes

Specs for the highly-rumoured Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 have leaked online, revealing the slate could sport a duo of screen sizes.

Tipped by Greek technology blog, techblog.gr, to sport a release date of June or July, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 could ship in 8-inch and 10.1-inch varieties.

According to the leaked specs, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 will play host to an 8-inch 1,280 x 800 display and a 1.5GHz dual core processor with 2GB of RAM. The upcoming Samsung slate will also pack a 4500mAh battery within a body measuring 112.1 x 209.6 x 6.95mm and weighing 330g.

The heftier Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 is quite a bit bigger and thicker than its 8-inch counterpart if the specs leaked are correct. The 10-inch version will come in at 256.7 x 175.3 x 8.7mm with a weight of 533g. This would mean that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 would be smaller and lighter than the 9.7-inch iPad 4 though.

The 10.1-inch 1,280 x 800p display of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 will be paired with the same 1.5GHz processor as the 8-inch variety, but with the RAM dropped to 1GB and the battery size bumped to 7000mAh.

Both of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 models could run Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and have a 3-megapixel camera in the rear coupled with a 1.3-megapixel front-facing snapper.

Whilst the 10-inch version is tipped to offer 16GB of internal storage, it is currently unknown how much storage the 8-inch option will provide, but both will sport a microSD card slot for expandable memory.

The tablet duo will also ship with 4G LTE connectivity, with the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 tipped to launch with the very reasonable price of $149 (£97.31), meaning it could even scoop the Google Nexus 7’s crown for the value tablet.
