Apple acquired Beats for $3 billion earlier this summer, and now the first joint product between the two has popped up online.
With the Beats Solo2 headphones having launched during the summer, a wireless version of the over-ear cans have now been spotted passing through the FCC with Apple branding in tow.
Spotted by 9to5Mac, the new Beats headphones look to be identical to the existing Beats Solo2s, albeit with Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy connectivity options joining the traditional cabled connection.
Although it is not believed the Apple logo will sit prominently alongside the Beats ‘B’ on the headphones – or the packaging – the Cupertino-based company’s stamp has been shown on the inside arm of the style-based audio providers.
While Apple only finalised the purchase of Beats back in August, the FCC filing for the new headphones have listed Apple as the creator and tester of the product.
Despite the Solo2 Wireless headphones having been named and detailed, there is currently no official word on a planned release date for the cable-bereft cans.
Given their passing through the FCC, however, it is believed the new wireless Solos could be close to launch, and a pre-Christmas launch is expected.
