The Android 5.0 Lollipop rollout is continuing its slow and steady pace with more handsets receiving the update on Monday.

The Verge brings word that more users of the highly rated 2014 iteration of the Moto X are getting in on the action today.

Users of the Verizon network in the United States are next in line, following the rollout for the Pure Edition of the Moto X a couple of weeks back.

The rollout will offer a Nexus-like experience for Moto X users, given the manufacturer’s penchant for simplifying the Android software.

Verizon’s swift action comes after it was announced LG G3 users on all three major networks in South Korea would be granted access to Lollipop in the coming days. There’s no word yet on when the update will come to both handsets in the UK, but we’ll keep you up to speed.

Google is keen for the Lollipop roll out to reach as many handsets as possible as it pushes its new Material Design UI across its various platform.

So far, it’s mainly Nexus and Google Play Edition users who're enjoying new features like Trusted Places, while the likes of Sony, Samsung and HTC prepare the update for their users.

HTC has pledged to bring Lollipop to its top handsets within 90 days of receiving the source code from Google, which should guarantee a rollout for devices like the HTC One (M8) by the time the New Year rolls around.
